Senior Marketing Manager
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the marketing communications for auto dealerships with the goal of driving traffic and earning customers for life. This position will also be responsible for leading, training, and mentoring an assigned team of 3 - 6 Marketing Managers.
The Senior Marketing Manager reports to the Marketing Director.
Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of 3 - 6 Marketing Managers
Lead, train, mentor and assist in hiring Marketing Managers (when needed)
Organize at least quarterly team training meetings
Support and assist team Marketing Managers with all stores including focus stores as assigned by GVP
Lead out in communications to GVPs in team area of focus store action plans and status
Serve as an expert in and a resource for internal marketing teams, GVP and store managers. Communicate and educate in a professional manner that generates enthusiasm for each store’s marketing strategies and plans
Be a resource for internal marketing teams to provide feedback, guidance and recommendations on Lithia Marketing products, process, or offerings
Recommend and coordinate Group General Manager marketing trainings as in partnership with GVP
Assist Director Marketing with national marketing bi-annual training meetings
Develop and led traffic generation and in-store traffic management ROI meetings with a heavy emphasis on Digital/Online Marketing and CRM/store process
Partner with each assigned store General Manager to build and execute annual marketing communications plans that achieve store Annual Operating Plan (goals) with a highly efficient marketing spend ROI
Partner with internal LAD Marketing team members and external agencies to create content and measure the results of the campaigns
6 Priority duties include:
Optimize clients digital marketing presence
Report Marketing ROI
Enhance conversions on Website, Social, and Third-Party listing sites
Share best practices for Digital Retailing integration
Review in-store CRM practices and results, with focus on measurement, reporting and increasing sales
Review in-store CRM task management to ensure timely and connected
Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail
Sense of urgency
Excellent communication
Google Analytics, Firstlook, Dealership CRM systems (ie CDK, eLeads, VinSolutions, DealerSocket, etc), Digital Retailing tools
Passionate about applying multi-disciplined marketing strategies to sell and service cars and satisfy customers
Data/Budget analysis to understand efficacy and ROI of marketing strategies
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or commensurate experience is required
Experience with online, social marketing as well as automotive traffic and sales process
15+ Years in Marketing or Digital Automotive retailing experience
