Our facility in Miamisburg, Ohio is home to our Defense and Aerospace Business Unit with strategic leadership and administration responsibilities for the global defense organization. This site specializes in the design, manufacture and test of energetic safety systems including electronic safe, arm and fire (ESAF) devices and firing modules (FMs), ignition safety devices (ISDs), custom energetics, and Blue Chip detonators and serves a variety of high-performance applications including precision munitions, tactical missiles, launch vehicles, and strategic missiles. We are in search of a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering (ManE) Technician. The ManE technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the maintenance of production equipment, tooling and assisting the operations team. The ManE technician will interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Non-Destructive and Destructive Testing, Operations and Quality to provide support across the facility. Your responsibilities: Production equipment/process trouble shooting; Development builds; Process improvements; Operator training; Process failure analysis; Process capability and SPC tracking; Conduct production tooling maintenance and monitoring; Hands-on assistance to operations staff; Assembly fixture design and fabrication; Set-up and monitoring of production equipment and PM plans for equipment as they are implemented; Assistance with PC based production tracking systems - setup, operation and maintenance; Assistance with non-destructive testing processes; Ultrasonic cleaning equipment maintenance and monitoring; Equipment calibrations for specialized equipment with process guidance; Weld tooling maintenance and monitoring; Vacuum furnace maintenance and monitoring. Your requirements: High School Diploma is required (Associates Degree in Engineering Discipline preferred); Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; CNC and manual machining experience; The use and general knowledge of measuring devices; Blueprint interpretation; Equipment failure analysis experience; General experience with production machinery and maintenance for small or light industrial equipment; General experience in manufacturing facilities and plant maintenance; General experience in pneumatic machine controls; Please note due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED; This position involves explosive handling and requires the employee to obtain and maintain an ATF Employee Processor Permit. Your preferred skills and/or experience: Non-destructive / Destructive testing; PCB/PWA assembly and electronics soldering; Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and/or LabView programming; AutoCAD and/or Solidworks; Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing; Six Sigma.
