Bank OZK VP/Association Services Business Development Officer in Miami, Florida
Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for the development and retention of business within the Community Association industry in assigned territory. Collaborates with external and internal resources (i.e., referral sources, business partners, prospects) to provide Association Services expertise in a consultative manner while maintaining awareness of risk and a client-focused perspective.
Essential Job Functions
Schedules and completes calls on existing clients and prospects to develop new Association Services business and to maintain existing business.
Prepares and presents account analysis reviews and Association Services presentations, as appropriate.
Meets with client managers/branches and other business partners to review their key relationships and explore new prospects.
Develops and maintains relationships with all key clients.
Meets with clients through personal calling efforts, referrals, and other contacts to discuss business needs and recommend ways in which the Bank can meet their needs.
Maintains awareness of local competition and market pricing for Association Services.
Shares knowledge as a subject matter expert and mentors’ others on the team.
Reviews new product and product enhancement information with internal business partners, as appropriate.
Maintains awareness of trends and new developments in the field of association services management through attendance at trade shows and related seminars.
Assesses clients’ business strengths, weaknesses, and key issues to develop sales strategies and plans and recommend new products and services necessary to meet client demands.
Analyzes, evaluates, and mitigates operational, regulatory, credit, and reputational risk.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of clients’ businesses and their specific needs.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Maintains good attendance and punctuality to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the Community Association industry from a practitioner’s and/or banker’s perspective.
Knowledge of selling and closing techniques.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a client environment.
Ability to share knowledge and experience with others in a manner that is easily understood and processed.
Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships with customers, vendors, and employees.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, with deadlines and minimal supervision.
Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to demonstrate understanding of economic, financial, industry, and organizational data.
Ability to prepare and create routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Skill in using computer, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in business or related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
3+ years business development experience, required.
1+ years of work experience in community association products, required.
