The Title Governance Coordinator will oversee sourcing, quality control and data governance for the titles and metadata that represent the Telemundo content catalog. They are responsible for coordinating with the business, studios, distributors, and other contributors to the content supply chain to ensure sourcing of all elements that make for a complete title package.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates with studios, distributors, and others the sourcing, authoring, and entering of metadata into our metadata management system.

  • Plans and coordinates work related to sourcing of metadata to meet delivery timelines.

  • Contributes to the review of workflows to identify and define opportunities for improvement. 

  • Monitors quality of content and makes sure that quality issues are identified, documented, and prioritized.

  • Responsible for reviewing and revising metadata including ensuring proper Spanish translation.

  • Acts as gatekeeper, ensuring that all data is correctly completed, tagged, and categorized before being published.

  • Performs regular content cleansing/audits and reports on trends in compliance and content health.

  • Collaborates with other departments to make sure that all stakeholders understand how to use the title management system properly to drive best-in-class business practices.

  • Provides content contributors with a range of expertise on the importance of following good data-entry and management processes.

  • Partners with Programming, Operations, Finance and Legal to identify content and process gaps.

  • Implements a regular closed-loop feedback method with stakeholders and helps to identify and share content-management improvement opportunities.

  • Maintains confidence and protects operations when dealing with confidential information.

  • Reviews and audits downstream systems to ensure that content, taxonomy, and metadata are consistent between systems.

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Title Governance and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within TV/film production or equivalent work experience

  • Exhibits working knowledge of metadata and the role within modern media consumption platforms.

  • Demonstrates ability to use tools such as master data management catalogs.

  • Demonstrates analytical ability required to identify trends and patterns to identify issues that may pose risks.

  • Prior work experience quickly entering large amounts of data into management systems.

  • Fluent in English & Spanish (both written & verbal)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Degree in Journalism or Communications preferred.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • As this is a critical operations position, candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment

  • Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

  • This position is required to be performed on a Hybrid basis from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
