The Strategy Partner - Strategy & Transformation contributes to UM’s and UHealth’s success by collaboratively delivering strategic direction, targeted competitive & market insights, key initiative leadership & support, impactful business development, core process enhancement, and transformation management. The Strategy Partner plays an integral role in helping to define the future of UM and UHealth and drives critical business initiatives by directly partnering with leaders across the enterprise.
- Acts as a strategic consultant/advisor to a variety of senior and mid-level stakeholders.2. Develops deep expertise in healthcare and higher education as a foundation for developing frameworks, conducting analysis, generating insights, and communicating those insights to support and influence strategic planning and business development initiatives.3. Develops and maintains a deep understanding of strategic issues facing UM and UHealth through analyzing trends, horizon scanning, and building relationships with colleagues across the organization.4. Collaborates and builds rapports with all levels of the organization ensuring a positive image is conveyed to internal and external partners and stakeholders.5. Promotes the development of strategic objectives and associated metrics to allow a ‘strategic view’ of organizational progress.6. Manages multiple projects and competing priorities leveraging project management expertise and experience.7. Manages, manipulates, and analyzes multiple large and complex financial, operational, and strategic data sets and data sources. Uses Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to interpret data and generate insights.8. Analyzes and synthesizes data accurately and interprets and presents in understandable and actionable format. Undertakes quantitative and qualitative assessments, and conducts primary research as appropriate, to support the development of evidence-based strategy.9. Uses internal and external software/applications, and other strategy related tools to gather and extract data.10. Supports, leads, and influences the formulation and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives. Prepares project design and analytics approach to work for review and input by strategy leadership. Manages multiple work streams/projects efficiently.11. Synthesizes analytics and key insights into presentation-ready pages/documents. Develops presentations. Presents findings to strategy team and provides guidance assistance in developing presentations that will be presented to large audiences, including UM’s and UHealth’s executive leadership team.12. Develops solutions to key issues by making recommendations based on best assessment of situations.13. Demonstrates high emotional intelligence with deftness in navigating complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and flags potential barriers/risks to Strategy & Transformation leadership team.14. Contributes to team’s work and culture, supports colleagues, builds collective capabilities of Strategy & Transformation, and plays a vocal part in team meetings.15. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
