Citigroup Specialist Sr. Lead in Miami, Florida

The Structured Lending role involves underwriting credit requests to ensure timely approvals from Independent Risk Management, and the ongoing management and monitoring of a loan portfolio. The position supports the lending unit within Global Wealth Management (“Investment Finance”), which caters to the credit needs of High Net Worth individuals. Strong credit and underwriting skills is a necessity, alongside excellent communication skills in order to negotiate internally, and often at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite loans from Citi Global Wealth’s lending products (primarily focused on Unsecured, Art, Aircraft, LP interests), ensuring compliance with Credit Policy and Risk Acceptance Criteria

  • Preparation of financial analysis of new deals and refinancing, assisting in the structuring and execution of complex credits

  • Assist in all aspects of obtaining internal approvals for credit requests

  • Analyzing collateral of various asset classes used to secure transactions

  • Negotiating loan documentation by liaising with external counsel

  • Responsible for early problem recognition of loan portfolio, and assisting the Remedial Unit in workouts

  • During annual reviews, monitor client’s compliance with the terms and conditions associated with previous approved facilities, including monitoring of covenants and financial position of the client

  • Working alongside the loan structuring team to assist in the marketing and sale of Citi Wealth Management’s lending product range

Qualifications:

  • Up to 10 years of experience

  • Strong and proven analytical, financial structuring and execution skills

  • Experience as a credit officer

  • Strong knowledge of Citibank’s Credit Policies, Product Programs and Citi Policies

  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Financial Analysis including Financial and cash flow modelling

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving

  • Displays flexibility and independence in a demanding environment

  • Team Player

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$134,960.00 - $202,440.00
