PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Payroll Consultant, you will be responsible for the successful execution of payroll solutions. You will work collaboratively with all departments, employees and management and assist with day-to-day payroll operations, support new and existing pay programs (local and global), manage vendor contracts and relationships, drive process standardization, automation and improvement in the controls for payroll, and ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a leader, project owner and payroll subject matter expert for various projects

  • Review and analyze current payroll processes and procedures to recommend and implement changes leading to best practices

  • Manage payroll system implementations and upgrades through effective change management

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle, and/or Ultimate

  • Effective written and oral communication skills, and strong attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving and consultative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment

  • Ability to work in a variety of client environments in a collaborative manner with all departments, employees and management

  • Experience working in matrix organizations and complex work environments with a natural ability to drive results through influence and initiative
