We are looking for an experienced assembler for landing gear. This is a permanent position for an aviation repair and maintenance company. The talent must be able to proficiently read blueprints and manuals in English and must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug and alcohol tests.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some employers may require vocational training or an associate degree in aerospace technology or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in aerospace assembly or a related field is often preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment, understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy. Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods. Teamwork: strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, inspectors, and other team members. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble landing gear components according to engineering specifications and blueprints. Install assembled landing gear onto aircraft or aerospace vehicles. Inspect and test landing gear systems to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Perform maintenance and repair tasks on landing gear systems as needed. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, inspections, and tests.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends
