The Financial Analyst II role supporting our Business Units and R&D will support various activities related to forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.
This position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager and is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team located in either Indianapolis or Miami and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Support monthly forecasts and the annual budget including headcount, payroll, expense planning
Perform monthly close activities including preparation and recording of accruals for unbilled services, prepaids and complete monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Analyze financial results and prepare month-end financial reporting for expenses, headcount, revenue and bookings. Seek and implement reporting optimization opportunities using automation such as Power BI
Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting entries for WIP projects as well as monthly reconciliations and reporting as well as Capital Expenditure forecast and reporting
Provide general accounting and finance support such as invoice coding, researching profitability on products and any ad-hoc requests
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields with 2+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 0+ years experience
Experience in finance and accounting with emphasis on budgeting forecasting, financial planning and analysis and financial modeling
Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills are needed for cross-functional and global scope of role
Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Limited travel may be required (5%)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Enterprise performance management report writing (e.g. BPC, Hyperion), Oracle, OAS/OBI data warehouses
Experience in developing Power BI reports from scratch
