UHealth Primary Care Enterprise has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Clinical Operations to work in Miami. The Director, Clinical Operations directs overall strategy and clinical delivery of clinics in the Primary Care area. The Director, Clinical Operations will analyze, develop, and execute resource management modeling, inclusive of operational, financial, and administrative models. This incumbent serves as conduit for communications and executions between leadership and the department, to ensure system alignment and efficient progression of a united ambulatory strategy. This individual assumes responsibility for continuously increasing clinical operations and implementing systems that enhance the patient experience, and staff and physician satisfaction.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Working closely with the Medical Chief of Primary Care and Care Continuity, implements a team-based operating model across all primary care practices as a foundation for high performance and operational excellence.

  • Assesses current state practice functioning against advanced primary care operating standards and models of care, including NCQA medical home standards, and develops a gap analysis to inform improvement opportunities.

  • Works closely with onsite administrative and medical leadership to create a culture of high performance through the active and ongoing use of data. Develops performance improvement projects and coaches practice staff towards high performance across specific core elements.

  • Works with onsite administrators and financial leaders to address resource gaps and creates business plans and budget requests to ensure optimal functioning.

  • Leads focused workgroups and task forces across the primary care enterprise with the goal of improving access and performance.

  • Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for improvement.

  • Contributes to the overall growth and strategy of the primary care enterprise.

  • Manages the primary care dashboard.

CORE QUALIFICACTIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.

  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
