Facilitate parenting consultation during well-child visits
Conduct home visits as needed for at-risk clients
Phone consultations as needed to guide and/or support parent (s)
Complete screenings in order to monitor developmental milestones, social emotional wellbeing, maternal depression, home safety, parent-child relationship and parental stress.
Review screening results with the parents
Make appropriate referrals as needed
Submit documentation in a timely manner
Participate in weekly staff meeting
Participate in weekly supervision
Inform supervisor of any possible signs of child abuse immediately
Complete all required trainings
Reliable in punctuality and attendance, adhering to attendance and timekeeping policies
Adhere to all agency policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
This is a full-time non-exempt position, Regular hours entail 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Must be flexible to meet program needs
Bachelor’s Degree in mental health or related field
Experience with Child Development
Experience with Early Childhood Intervention
Knowledgeable in areas of infant mental health, family functioning, and prevention
Skilled in collaborating with other disciplines and services
Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving
Cultural sensitivity skills required
Bilingual preferred (Spanish; Creole)
Ability to work independently with competent decision making using established criteria and guidelines
Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible team environment
Ability to travel to all agency locations
Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings: This involves sitting at a computer for a minimum of 5 hours and could be up to 7 hours a day depending on program needs.
Lifting of Agency file books - weighing approximately 6-8 lbs. each - 5 inch binders
May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Completing paperwork -Such as copying, stapling
Answering phones, processing mail, filing, lifting packages
Ability to travel to all program sites
