​LOCATION: UHealth Tower
Serves as supervisor to the inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition areas. Assigns schedules and directs the workload of the clinical nutrition staff.
Hires, orients, trains, evaluates, and encourages professional development of clinical nutrition team members. Supports all administrative tasks required in Workday for managing the clinical nutrition staff.
Oversees and supports implementation of nutrition-related protocols and reports outcomes to the appropriate committees.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary departments and food service management to review and approve changes to therapeutic menu cycles.
Ensures regulatory compliance including federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
Monitors competence, productivity and documentation accuracy of clinical staff.
Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement nutrition services based on facility needs.
Completes all required documentation, reports, and logs in a timely, professional, and thorough manner.
Leads and/or participates in departmental meetings and staff development trainings.
Participates in facility-wide and directs departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Assists with annual review and customization of department policies and procedures.
Assists with annual nutrition formulary evaluation and approvals.
Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies and procedures.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by Commission on Dietetic Registration; State Licensure (LDN) by the State of Florida Department of Health; Board Certification in specialty area
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
