Starboard Cruise Services Assistant Marketing Manager in Miami, Florida

The Assistant Marketing Manager plays a critical role working across external product brands, internal Starboard and OBM teams, as well as shipboard operations in the successful development and implementation of product brand marketing campaigns and initiatives. The Assistant Marketing Manager coordinates the process for all product brand marketing projects from conceptualization through production and implementation.

Liaison with Product Brands to plan and execute campaigns and initiatives 65%

  • Spearhead the development and execution management of all brand Co-op marketing plans. Tactics include:

  • Personalized environments

  • Event marketing

  • Windows

  • Duratrans

  • Digital media

  • Television

  • Lead, conceptualize and execute both new and existing brand experiences; develop strong internal and external cross functional partnership for – guidelines, approvals, etc.

  • Spearhead and execute in-shop personalization projects for key brands to ensure environments are elevated and on brand

  • Create media kits and brand presentations, showcasing yearly marketing opportunities

  • Manage, collect and organize all necessary brand creative to execute the various multi-media touchpoints

  • Brand liaison; build and maintain a strong working relationship with the vendor community and ensure we’re executing all contracted deliverables and meeting brand standards

Internal coordination across teams (Creative, Production, Merchants, CLR/Shipboard) 30%

  • Manage and develop strong, collaborative relationships across the organization to ensure marketing initiatives are approved and completed on-time

  • Brand Marketing lead for all new-build and ship renovations, ensuring all brand creative is received on time and meets technical requirements

  • Create and manage database for all contracted marketing deliverables and provide proof of performance for each completed task

  • Work closely with the ad services and design teams to ensure all contracted catalog deliverables are executed and ensure proofs are provided to each brand prior to production

  • Close partnership with Merchandising to ensure product inventory and depth is aligned with campaign activation

  • Partner with brand marketers on cruise line specific product brand plans and opportunities aligned to the differentiating brand experience and guest profile for each cruise line.

  • Liaise with shipboard teams to request and verify marketing specs

  • Perform QA of all campaign materials prior to launch to ensure materials adhere to ad policies and technical specifications and to verify creative assets will deliver successfully

  • Build and manage ship communications between marketing and ships

  • Collaborates with production and Starboard Distribution center on marketing delivery dates and confirmation of delivery

  • Market awareness, research, information gathering 5%

  • Attend brand meetings, events, trade shows and ship visits to better understand each brands identity; provide creative insight and conceptualize new marketing initiatives to drive sales
