THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with extensive experience in Deltek software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and implementing efficient processes to streamline operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable process including invoice processing, coding, approval, and payment.

• Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner.

• Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation of vendor information, contracts, and agreements.

• Process weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies with general ledger accounts.

• Prepare accruals and month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Mentor and train junior accounts payable staff as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.

• Proficiency in Deltek software highly preferred

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
