Amazon Solutions Architect - AWS Mexico, AGS-LATAM-MEXICO-Field-CS-Tech-SA-ENT-RETAIL in Mexico City, Mexico

Description

Do you have 4+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications? Do you enjoy helping customers design systems and solve technical problems? Do you have a knack for helping customers to build a deep understanding of new platforms and new application architectures, and the consultative and leadership skills to launch computing projects on trajectories to success? Do you want to be part of the business development team helping to establish Amazon Web Services as a leading technology platform? Do you like to guide and support technical teams to design, prepare and produce highest quality deliverables to attend stakeholders' concerns?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Solutions Architect to help launch and grow business in Mexico. You would be part of a dynamic team, bringing the latest in disruptive, cutting-edge computing technologies to bear on the difficult IT cost and agility problems. Your business development and sales team, part of the largest Worldwide CS business development and sales team will accelerate the adoption of AWS as the leading technology platform.

As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of AWS's utility computing services (such as Amazon Elastic Compute (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Elastic MapReduce, and Amazon CloudFront) within organizations, as well as the larger partner ecosystem, the growth and training of which will be one of your main objectives.

Using your technical skills, you work with customers to architect solutions to difficult problems. You focus on work where the business objective (e.g., reduce risks, reduce costs, increase revenue from existing products, invent new products), opportunity, and strategy are defined; but the technical solution design is not defined.

You take the time to understand your customer’s business context (i.e., outcome priorities, customer experience, shared goals, business case, etc.).

You understand the reasoning behind design trade-off decisions (e.g., load distribution, data store choice, scaling strategy, failover mechanisms, performance bottlenecks) in delivering the right technical solution for your customers. You own the end-to-end design of your solutions, and support other SAs when encountering complex risks or constraints.

You are proficient at leveraging existing solutions and repeatable design patterns where appropriate; and when a new solution design is required, you create a solution with potential for future reuse. You seek opportunities to simplify existing solutions, processes, and designs. Your solutions adhere to best practices of being secure, scalable, reliable, and performant.
