We are looking for a versatile Marketing Manager, passionate about Sports, who will be responsible for designing and executing the strategy to drive Prime Video growth and engagement in Mexico, by leveraging the Sports properties we have rights for. This person will be leading marketing programs and initiatives to drive Prime Video subscribers' growth, engagement and retention, while maximizing viewership for our Sports content.. Additionally s/he will be responsible to work in collaboration with Central and Regional Marketing, Sports, Social, Media and Product teams to define the marketing strategy to drive Sports video streaming customer acquisition, engagement and retention. In particular the role will focus mainly on using core marketing channels (offline and online), including display, search, affiliate/partnership marketing, traditional Mass and Brand media, as well as Prime Video owned and operated channels . The role is responsible for the developing topline creative, media, social and marketing planning, to position Prime Video as a destination to watch top Sports content. In parallel, this person will manage the day-to-day relationship with marketing stakeholders at the Sports teams and Leagues we have rights for. As a result of the broad scope and critical nature of the position, the role will interact at all levels of seniority in the company and outside the company.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving customer acquisition, engagement and retention through online, mobile, and offline marketing programs. S/he should be able to think/act strategically, develop structured plans and be willing to execute hands on with a start-up type of mentality. S/he balances creativity with analytics and agility with operational discipline. Candidates should be both idea generators and builders, with a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering great customer experiences for Sports fans and strong, measurable results. S/he should thrive in a culture of fast-decision making based on analytics, be comfortable diving deep into the data to measure performance, yet able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities. The role will have no direct reports, but requires managerial skills to influence others and manage senior internal and external stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention for our Sports content;

  • Develop and execute Integrated Marketing strategies and programs to drive incremental subscribers growth and viewership for our Sports content;

  • Provide input/create marketing plans with measurable, scalable, and innovative offline and online programs and campaigns to meet goals around Sports customer acquisition with approaches that can be measured and refined to implement ongoing improvements;

  • Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to engage Sports fans with our content to improve retention across web, mobile and living room devices;

  • Own the experiential and event planning for our Sports properties, in partnership with Social, PR, and external creative agencies;

  • Own and present to senior leadership key performance metrics around Sports customer acquisition and engagement;

  • Procure, negotiate, manage and leverage strategic relationships with internal and external partner teams to drive key performance metrics;

  • Develop a strong culture of rapid experimentation, measurement, and iteration;

  • Use data to measure and understand customer behavior and apply/share those insights to be used in our marketing levers;

  • Collaborate with other parts of the Prime Video and broader Amazon org such as: Content Marketing, Central Marketing, Product Tech, Payments, Partner Distribution, Business Intelligence, Prime, Devices, Music, Stores among others, to develop holistic marketing programs for Sports fans.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience;

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements;

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs;

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data;

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing strategies in online and mobile channels

  • Experience managing marketing programs to drive customer acquisition, retention, engagement or churn reduction
