Amazon Last Mile Engineering Manager, Amazon Logistics Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico

The Amazon Logistics team is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands on and customer obsessed Engineering Manager to drive standardization and innovation in physical infrastructure, layout and material flow across our Last Mile delivery network. As a member of the WW Engineering team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering an ambitious roadmap of projects to expand and improve our physical processing infrastructure. You will act as a key point of contact for the Process Engineering team, frequently partnering with leaders in the field, as well as other operational support functions and your WW counterparts. The scope includes automation strategy and deployment.

This position requires strong leadership, deep customer focus, strong autonomy and exceptional people management skills. It will involve regular communication with executors and project sponsors at both the country and WW level, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition.

This role will be based out of Mexico City and involves regular travel within Mexico as well as occasional international travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Experience in employee and performance management

  • 7+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 7+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience defining roadmap of projects, obtaining leadership and stakeholder alignment on strategy and execution.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (C1+)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement principles & techniques

  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities

  • Experience with innovation, development, testing

  • Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
