Cana Communications Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician in METRO ATLANTA AREA, Georgia

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician. This is a full time position with excellent opportunity to learn and grow your skills. We offer the following benefits/compensation:

    REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years relevant experience

  • Ensure all installation projects and service calls are completed within required deadline and all required documentation has been submitted to proper personnel

  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives and necessary to procure replacement parts

  • Able to program. Proficient use of basic computer functions to facilitate the use of specialized programs related to fire alarm, security, access control, and other low voltage systems

  • Test electronic units and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustment

  • Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components

  • Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions and technical manuals;

  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components

  • Able to use hand and power tools

  • Be part of the on-call rotation list to dispatch for after-hours service when assigned as the primary on-call technician

  • Able to stand for long periods of time (up to ten hours); able to lift and carry a twelve-foot ladder and able to perform work from a ladder

  • Able to operate a power jack and fork lift and able to lift up to 70 pounds manually

  • Must be able to pass drug test, background check and motor vehicle report

  • Valid driver's license
