Position Summary: The Welder performs moderately complex automated and manual welding processes. This position ensures the utilization of standard processes on various types of materials in the fabrication or repair of assigned parts and products. This position will advocate and support the Corporate Win Strategy. 1st Shift Hours: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (8-hour Shift), 4:30 am - 3:00 pm (10-hour Shift) Minimum Starting Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour Essential Functions: * Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements. * Perform operations to maintain, set up, and operate mig, tig, resistance spot welding equipment and plasma cutting. * Responsible for maintaining, setting up, and operating CNC tubing cutoff lathe to ensure correct tubing dimensions are utilized. * Performs routine quality adherence checks. * Sets up, maintains, and operates robotic and lathe welding applications and processes. * Occasionally maintains, sets up, and operates soldering, brazing and torch cutting equipment to perform maintenance or special production operations. * Performs these and other duties assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: * Experience 1-2 years performing the essential functions as described preferred. * Knowledge of precision measuring instruments. * Ability to stand for an extended period of time while exerting force up to 50 lbs. on occasion. * Knowledge of blueprint and drawing interpretation. * Ability to work overtime during the week including Saturdays. * Vocational or technical schooling preferred. * High School Diploma or equivalent required.
