Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Security Manager in the New Orleans area. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing our organization's information security program, ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of customer, employee, and business data. You will also be tasked with executing a strategic IT risk management program and fostering a cybersecurity culture within our team.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the information security management framework and ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Regularly providing reports on the status of security measures to executive leadership.
• Facilitating risk assessments and managing disaster recovery plans to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Conducting security training to promote a cybersecurity culture among staff members.
• Monitoring emerging threats and implementing necessary measures to protect the organization's information.
• Making hiring decisions and growing the IT security team.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the IT security team.
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure the integration of security practices.
• Leveraging skills and certifications such as CISSP, CISM in performing daily tasks.
• Leading the organization's information security program to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer, employee, and business data.
Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on IT security
• Proven expertise in Information Security Management
• Ideally holds a CISSP and/or CISM certification or equivalent
• Experience with System and Organization Controls audits (SOC2)
• Strong knowledge of policies and procedures related to IT security
• Demonstrated ability to make informed hiring decisions
• Proven experience working with and managing development teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to identify and manage IT security risks
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations
• Proven ability to develop and implement IT security strategies and plans
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments
• Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest IT security trends and technologies.
