The Manual Injection Molding Operator is responsible for correctly and efficiently molding/potting wire and cable assemblies for aerospace and defense components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the manual over-mold processes
Provides molded components in a timely manner to meet production schedules
Manages raw mold material to ensure traceability, shelf life, and to prevent contamination
Generates documentation on mold runs for accountability
Works with production departments to ensure quality of products produced to meet company quality standards
Follows work instructions and procedures for preventative maintenance of molds
Follows work instructions and safety practices in order to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Cross trains in assembly areas as time allows
Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Polyurethane potting or injection molding experience
Must be able to regularly sit, stand, and walk
Must be able to pass a Vision exam to inspect work at a close distance
Must be able to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics
Must be able to accurately use measuring tools and do basic math
Must be able to effectively use all tools required for potting process
Must have keen attention to detail and quality
Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
