Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team based in Merritt Island, Florida. This role involves several key responsibilities within the aerospace manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be skilled in maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and processing purchase orders with precision and efficiency.

• Maintaining comprehensive records of goods ordered and received.

• Negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms.

• Building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors.

• Selecting prospective vendors and negotiating contracts based on quality, timeliness, and price.

• Evaluating vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price to ensure the best value for the company.

• Establishing guidelines on the frequency of obtaining price quotes for items, the number of bids to accept, and which vendors to consider.

• Scheduling deliveries and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.

• Researching and evaluating vendors to compare pricing and services.

• Utilizing skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, About Time, Buyer, Buying Processes, Component Selection, and Customer Service to execute job duties effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge and experience with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Previous experience as a Buyer

• Understanding of Buying Processes

• Ability to select components effectively (Component Selection)

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities

• Good problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work well in a team and independently

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred but not necessary

• Familiarity with inventory management and vendor relations

• Good time management skills.
