U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in Meridian, Mississippi

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the MAINTENANCE AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT DETACHMENT of NATC MERIDIAN. Responsibilities You will provide administrative support in the supervision of assigned personnel providing contract oversight to include Quality Assurance (QA), Property Management, and Production specialties. You will Interview candidates for subordinate positions; recommend hiring, promotion, or reassignments; take disciplinary measures; identify developmental and training needs of employees; provide/arrange for development and training. You will provide expertise in the areas of maintenance, Quality Assurance Management, contracts, and logistic support. You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the processes and procedures necessary for ensuring safe, secure, contract-compliant maintenance and logistics support is conducted on a daily basis. You will identify, understand, analyze and provide advice on contracting processes and maintenance practices to verify capabilities and promote continuous process improvement. You will provide input on contract type, method of solicitation options determinations, milestones development, and sources to be solicited. You will develop training syllabus; conduct various QA training with emphasis on work procedures/techniques appropriate to the work environment. You will collect, review and analyze quality data/trends to plan and schedule contract surveillance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations to administer, evaluate, or coordinate quality assurance programs and ensure contractors meet requirements for maintenance contracts.
