Position Overview:

Performs repair and replacement of Airframe and Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with applicable manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, company directives, and other approved data. May be required to handle hazardous materials in the performance of assigned duties.

Good working knowledge of assigned aircraft maintenance and parts manual.

Familiarization with CNAF 4790.2 Series and other applicable Navy Instructions, Manufacturer Manuals, and Company Instructions.

May be required to become Ground Run Certified.

Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention.

Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage.

Must have valid state operators' license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements.

Must be able to read, speak, write legibly, and understand the English language.

Must be customer-oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions.

Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.

Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data.

Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.

Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.

Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.

Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.

Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.

Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.

Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.

Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.

May be required to perform simple computer input functions.

May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.

Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions.

Assist when directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.

Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of three (3) years documented hands-on general experience in this specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, or the military or commercial equivalent. Must be familiar with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. FAA A&P License is desired. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
