Description Our reputable client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join the company. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. This is the role for a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and organization.

Your responsibilities

• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database

• Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

• Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports

• Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits

• Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and read professional publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends

• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work

• Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations Requirements - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Problem-solving and creative thinking skills

• Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

• CPA highly preferred

• Excellent organizational skills

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
