As a Systems Technician Intern, you will: Maintain a safe and organized work environment Assist with performing preventive and repair maintenance on process and support equipment including but not limited to, AC/DC drives and motors, Programmable Logic Controllers, Process Controllers, Stepper and Servo motors and controllers, heat and pneumatic devices. 3 Troubleshoot and calibrate circuits, systems and devices used in the measurement and /or control of, but not limited to, current, voltage, temperature, vacuum, pressure, level, weight /density, tensions, steering, speed, flow and frequency. Read and interpret elementary, PID and ladder logic drawings, blueprints, sketches, vendor drawings and equipment service manuals as required by work assignments. Contribute technical recommendations regarding the improvement or optimization of facility equipment and/or process equipment as needed. The ideal Maintenance Technician candidate will have: Candidates must be in their second year of a post-secondary education institution for an associate\'s degree in Mechatronics Specialist, Automation Engineering or equivalent for the Fall 2024 semester. Candidates must be able to work part time (20 hours) between September 2024 through May 2025. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age before the position\'s start date and must have proof of a High School Diploma. Qualified candidates will be required to complete the selection process and pass all pre-employment contingencies. Schedule: 20 hours/week during the school year. Opportunity for more hours during breaks.
