UW - STOUT Assistant Professor Construction Mgmt in MENOMONIE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21319 JOB DETAILS: The Department of Operations and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Construction Management position. The anticipated start date is January or August 2025. The successful candidate will become part of an innovative and supportive community that prioritizes excellence in teaching and active student engagement. In alignment with UW-Stouts polytechnic tenets of applied learning and research, business and industry partnerships, career focused education, we emphasize experiential learning by providing students with authentic as well as hands-on experiences in both classroom, laboratory, and industrial settings. Our program, with over 290 students, receives substantial support from alumni and major construction firms both regionally and nationally. Scholarly and service activities are supported by both internal and external grants and funds are available for professional development and student research and dissemination. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online, undergraduate courses in construction management program with courses including design concepts, building information management, architectural graphics and architectural technology. In addition to teaching, all UW-Stout faculty are expected to engage in the assessment of student learning, research, and service; contribute to a positive, collaborative environment dedicated to inclusive excellence; and provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academic program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff. A terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., MArch, MFA, etc.) is required for promotion to full professor, unless by special exception process. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION The Operations and Management (O&M) Department is housed in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Management. O&M primarily serves undergraduate majors in Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Technology, Construction, and Packaging, as well as graduate majors in Training and Human Resources Development, Engineering, Risk Control and Management, and Operations and Supply Management. The department currently has 40 faculty/staff and offers more than 50 courses and 100 different sections each semester.
