JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21301 JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor, Computer Networking & Infrastructure Engineering/Cybersecurity JOB DUTIES: Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Computer Networking & Infrastructure Engineering/Cybersecurity at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of August 18th, 2025. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, especially those in support of the BS CNIE and BS Cybersecurity programs. The teaching load is typically 24 credits per academic year (12 credits per semester). Engage in curriculum development, research, and scholarly activities. Provide academic advisement to students in the BS CNIE and BS Cybersecurity programs. Collaborate with industry partners to maintain and develop new opportunities for students. Contribute to course and program assessment of student learning in collaboration with faculty and staff. Provide service to the department and the university along with other duties as assigned by the department chair. Commitment to teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Networking/IT/Cybersecurity. Highly Desired/Preferred Potential for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, in-person and/or online. A minimum of two years\' industry experience in Computer Networking/IT/Cybersecurity. Demonstrated knowledge or technical skills related to IT and Cybersecurity. Experience using Network Programmability & Automation and Firewall technologies (e.g. Palo Alto). Current industry-recognized certification(s) within the field of IT and Cybersecurity, such as Palo Alto, Cyber Ops, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, Cisco Certified Instructor, or equivalent certifications.
