ORDER & WAVE PLANNER

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Order and Wave Planner is responsible for scheduling all outbound orders in the WMS and the coordination of order processing within the system and with employees. The Planner will monitor and prioritize daily workloads to ensure work is completed timely and will maintain required “work specific” documentation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all orders are planned and prioritized to meet or exceed customer expectations

• Responsible for following orders through the entire process, ensuring orders are 100% completed and all waves are cleaned from the wave screen as efficiently as possible

• Partner with the Inventory Control regarding shortages and communicating order adjustments

• Coordinate special, expedited order requests with the customer service, operations and transportation groups

• Engage management, operational leadership and warehouse associates to assist in maintaining service levels, quality expectations, and productivity

• Responsible for keeping the operations teams busy with a constant steady flow of orders and advising the team when the work is/will be limited

• Analyze wave and task configuration

• Promotes Safety culture

• Special projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Experience with WMS systems and RF barcode scanners, required

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.), required

• Experience with wave creation and workload planning, preferred

• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail

• Exceptional ability to deal with adverse situations positively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interact effectively with others. Be a team player

• Ability to work with little direct supervision

• Maintain a good attendance record

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Associates Degree, or equivalent combination of work experience is preferred

• 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse required

Physical Demands:

• Sits, stands, bends, kneels, climbs stairs, ladders and equipment; has good sense of balance to work on heights. Lifting/pushing equipment, tools and product required.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds

Work Conditions:

• Some exposure to hazards or risks: heat, noise, dust and dirt

• Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress

• Works hours necessary to maintain facilities in a safe manner including nights and weekends
