Facebook Workforce Planning Program Manager, Central Operations-Mission Control in Menlo Park, California

The Mission Control team is a group of people at Facebook responsible for workforce planning and headcount for the technical and product teams. We are looking for a Workforce Planning Program Manager to support central operations across our Planning team.

Required Skills:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of our Mission Control alias

  2. Management of CW resources responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders

  3. Report on trends and glean insights into operational pain points

  4. Evolve our processes and tools for case management

  5. Act as escalation point for CWs

  6. Consistently deliver within our SLA

  7. Act as program manager of our central operational programs, ensuring compliance from the Planning PMs in maintaining the headcount ledger, consistently addressing automated audits, timely review of headcount movement approvals

  8. Own training of new MC Planning team members on case management, understanding policies/processes, and the tooling landscape

  9. Build relationships with our many cross functional partners to improve cross-tool integrations (Workday, Salesforce, Internal tools) and overall process

  10. Act as central lead for Headcount Policy & Process change management

  11. Ensure internal alignment on changes

  12. Implement tooling updates, including ongoing ownership of Rules Engine content

  13. Document for internal/external consumption, including ownership of MC Wiki

  14. Lead content strategy for policy and process messaging within our tooling

  15. Identify gaps and autonomously drive projects to streamline and improve current processes

  16. Work with data infrastructure, tooling and process teams to triage data-quality issues and drive long term improvement of data quality

  17. Exercise good judgment and, when unable to resolve issues, proactively raises risks and concerns to respective team member

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. or B.A. with 4+ years problem-solving/operational experience or equivalent of 6+ years problem-solving/operational experience

  2. Relationship building experience with cross functional partners at varying levels

  3. Experience in business operations, headcount management, people operations, recruiting or HR

  4. Experience telling a story using data and extract key insights, helping stakeholders drive action

  5. Experience developing and evolving tools to solve business problems

  6. Experience managing contractors (or FTEs)

  7. Proven experience in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of Workday and Salesforce

  2. Project management background

  3. Experience communicating complex ideas consistently and clearly

  4. Experience with change management related to process and policy updates
