Our client is a prestigious venture firm that has raised more than 10 funds and invested in over 400 companies in the 40 years since their inception.
They are adding a new Financial Analyst to the well-established team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Lead valuations process and perform in depth analysis on data and findings
create financial models from scratch
Update fund models and prepare weekly reports, including a summary of investments, admin package, and portfolio dashboard
Prepare quarterly letters and reports on fund performance
Assist in initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Perform ad-hoc modeling and analysis to facilitate decision-making
Support the maintenance of portfolio database
Prepare annual meeting, offsite, and fundraising due diligence reports as needed
Foster and contribute to an atmosphere where people work effectively and collaboratively to produce quality results

Requirements
Key requirements:
6+ years of valuations and strategic finance experience out of a fund (preferably venture but open to PE)
Academic prowess (historically they have preferred candidates with masters degrees
Strong analytical skills with an ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks.
Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling experience required – must be able to create financial models from scratch – there will be no handholding
Ability to design a data model, data relationships and data metrics with experience interpreting, reviewing and analyzing data to maintain data integrity and offer business solutions.
Personality: humble, self starter, somebody who takes pride in their work, problem solver mentality
