Meta Technical Program Manager, Network Infra in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with large-scale network infrastructure experience. This person will be deeply involved in evolving and enhancing the global network that supports all Facebook products and services. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of solutions that improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our large-scale network environment. You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify and solve complex problems, develop and maintain tools and processes to monitor network health, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in network architecture and design. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale network operations, strong program management skills, and a passion for ensuring the highest levels of network availability and performance They will have an overarching understanding of the end-to-end network architecture and a proven track record in taking on and going deep in new technical domains.

Required Skills:

Technical Program Manager, Network Infra Responsibilities:

  1. Build strong and aligned program teams to efficiently deliver on shared goals.

  2. Collaborate with Engineering and business owners to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope which includes defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are partnering with.

  3. Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.

  4. Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  5. Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  6. Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.

  7. Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.

  8. Influence product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.

  9. Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 10+ Network Engineering, Network Capacity Planning, Systems Engineering, Infra development.

  3. 8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  4. Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

  5. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  6. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  7. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  8. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.

  9. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

  10. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of Network Systems Design experience.

  2. 5+ years of leading & driving Reliability programs for large scale infrastructures.

  3. Experience in Network architecture and protocols, QOS, SLI, etc.

  4. Experience with data center architecture.

Public Compensation:

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
