Summary:

F2 (Facebook Financial) is a product group at Facebook focused on building products to make payments and financial services simpler, for everyone and secure across our apps. We want to empower people everywhere to send money to each other, give them the confidence to buy and sell things online, and help businesses grow. Facebook currently offers payment capabilities within messaging products such as Messenger and WhatsApp within a selected set of countries. We are expanding the messaging payment capabilities to enable users to transact with businesses right within the channel they use to converse with the business. We need a Technical Program Manager to drive highly technical, cross-organizational programs that enable consumers to make business payments within our messaging products. The effort includes driving integrations with regional payment partners. As a Technical Program Manager on the team, you'll be responsible for defining and driving the success of these programs, while continually monitoring the progress & communicating same to leadership teams. You'll partner with Engineering, Product and other cross-functional partners to prioritize work based on impact and drive strong execution. Required Skills:

  1. Lead key initiatives and drive collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams including product, engineering, data, and operations to enable commerce experiences on our platform.

  2. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  3. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.

  4. Communicate status and big picture to the project team and management.

  5. Perform risk management and change management on projects.

  6. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.

  7. Drive internal process improvements, remove gaps, across multiple teams and ensure teams are working on high impact projects that align with company mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.

  3. Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

  4. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  5. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  6. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  7. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.

  8. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

  9. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience building consumer facing payment products at scale.

  2. Experience in building large scale software systems and platforms.

  3. Experience with data analysis or experimentation.
