Meta Global Expense Operations Manager in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Meta is seeking a Global Expense Operations Manager to join our Travel, Expense, and Corporate Card (TEC) team. This role is pivotal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to driving significant impact within a high-energy finance organization, and makes decisions using data. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Travel, Expense, and Corporate Cards. The Global Expense Operations Manager will lead the development and implementation of global expense management strategies, ensuring alignment with Meta's broader financial and operational goals. This role involves representing the TEC team through the oversight of outsourced financial operations teams, supporting employee and guest T&E globally, collaboration with XFN partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The manager will be instrumental in enhancing and automating financial processes, optimizing cost control measures, and using data-driven insights to improve financial performance across the organization.

Required Skills:

Global Expense Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for Meta's Global Expense programs, establishing robust policies and processes that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

  2. Lead and serve as the global point of contact for the outsourced team across all regions, ensuring strategic alignment and quality assurance in expense operations.

  3. Drive the adoption and optimization of corporate card programs, enhancing financial efficiency and accountability through improved tracking, issuing, and reconciliation processes.

  4. Utilize advanced data analytics to proactively monitor and report on key performance metrics, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement predictive measures to prevent fraud and enhance financial security.

  5. Lead the development and implementation of automated solutions for expense audits and helpdesk operations to reduce overhead and increase operational speed.

  6. Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining Meta's reputation for integrity and financial prudence.

  7. Provide strategic vision and oversight for new Expense initiatives, managing the Global Expense Operations roadmap.

  8. Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimize financial performance, ensuring operations are efficient, balanced, and compliant.

  9. Foster robust engagement with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring effective communication and strategic alignment across all initiatives.

  10. Engage in continuous learning and development to stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies that could impact financial operations.

  11. Undertake other process and program improvements as assigned within the Travel, Expense, and Corporate Card program team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  2. 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in Finance Operations, Travel, Expense, Corporate Cards, or a related field.

  3. Experience in fast-paced environments, adept at navigating complex organizational structures and collaborating with off-site line and functional managers.

  4. Experience with data tools and platforms such as Concur, Oracle, and Excel, with experience analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements, and projections.

  5. Experience leading projects where establishing clear priorities and managing multiple demands and resources effectively was needed

  6. Experience improving processes through innovation, automation, and operational excellence.

  7. Experience working with cross-functional partners and leadership to effectively communicate and set project expectations. Previous experience working with data, metrics, and statistics to effectively influence decision making at a leadership level. .

  8. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance aspects of financial management.

  9. Previous experience leading projects that required gathering and analyzing necessary data for completion of project goals

  10. Experience in leading outsourced teams, managing supplier relationships, effectively.

  1. MBA, Master's, or other related advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

  2. Six Sigma or similar qualification experience.

  3. Experience with financial governance and compliance management in a global setting.

  4. Experience working with Excel and using financial management software to enhance business operations.

  5. Experience communicating with senior leaders and influencing at all levels of the organization.

Public Compensation:

$132,000/year to $188,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
