Title: Fund Accounting Manager

Location: Menlo Park (Hybrid)

Salary: $160-$180k (Depending on Experience) + Bonus + Unlimited PTO

About the Company: Leading Venture Firm specializing in incubation, early stage and growth companies with 5 billion + AUM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review transactions on a weekly basis, track documentation for investments, and review capital call allocation calculations.

  • Review cash and stock distributions, including detailed distribution calculations.

  • Coach and mentor accounting staff; assist in their development and training.

  • Lead and document technical research for complex transactions.

  • Prepare and document quarterly valuation analysis of portfolio companies.

  • Assist in review of the quarterly close, including all financial statements, and coordinate audit requests.

  • Oversee electronic distribution of financial statements, partners’ capital statements, K-1s, capital calls, and distribution notices to LPs.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • 6+ years of public audit (VC, PE clients) or currently working in-house within the Venture Capital or Private Equity Industry.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on role driving accounting close and yearly audit.

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (Investran, Intacct, QuickBooks) a plus.
