SusieCakes is seeking a FT Bakery Decorations Manager & FT Production Manager.

Pay is set to range from $24-28/HR + Tips ($2-3HR average)

Schedule: All applicants must have weekend availability. Full time will be 33-40 hours per week on average.

    Decorations Manager

    The Decorations Manager leads the culinary operation in frosting, inscribing, and decorating of delicious cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods. They are charged with ensuring the highest quality baked goods are decorated in a timely manner by means of training, supporting overall safety, and developing the culinary team through the specialization of decorations management.

    Production Manager

The Production Manager leads the culinary operation by means of baking and building of delicious cakes and other baked goods in house. They are in charged with ensuring the highest quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner by means of training, supporting overall safety, and developing the culinary team in the area of production management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the teams by motivating, training, and developing the culinary team members in decorations skills; decoration, finishing and inscribing on a variety of products; including but not limited to cakes, cupcakes, and frosted sugar cookies

  • Assign daily decorations needs to team members and ensure their completion

  • Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards

  • Leads the teams by motivating, training, and developing the culinary team members in the production category through adherence to recipes and standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, cakes, cookies, pies, bars, puddings, buttercreams, etc.

  • Lead team in production of custom baked goods. Develop and trains skills in mixing, baking, and building.

  • Assign daily production to team members and ensure completion

  • Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Culinary, Baking or Pastry Arts preferred

  • 2 years of leadership experience in a team environment

  • Ability to work in multiple regional locations

  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs

  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver-s license

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 75 pounds

  • Must be able to taste product for quality assurance i.e buttercream(s), cake(s) and cupcake(s)batter, cookie dough and other recipes as assigned.

    CERTIFICATIONS

  • ServSafe Manager Food Handler Certification

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $24 and $28 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
