Robert Half Accounting Manager in Menlo Park, California

Description

We are in the process of recruiting a diligent and meticulous Accounting Manager to join our non-profit organization in Menlo Park, California (however you will work 100% remote). The role involves overseeing various financial and accounting operations, including fixed asset management and ASC842. The selected candidate will be expected to utilize their skills in Workday Financial Management, ASC 842, Capital Assets, and other relevant areas. Ideal candidates are CPA's (active or inactive). Pay is up to $78/hr. regular time and $117/hr. overtime. Start date is July 29th, but please apply now as the client would like to secure the consultant as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis as assigned.

• Prepare materials and participate in bi-monthly capital committee meetings.

• Monitor day-to-day activities for fixed assets and capital planning to ensure company policy and processes are adhered to.

• Work closely with project teams, business managers, and operations to ensure project cash flow and status are properly updated.

• Manage audit requests.

• Provide ongoing support and internal customer service to team members and business partners.

• Handle fixed asset accounting, including additions and depreciation.

• Oversee lease accounting and balance sheet account reconciliation.

• Conduct capitalization and project accounting.

• Take charge of project finance and review journal entries

Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience in the non-profit industry

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar

• Proficiency in Workday Financial Management

• Understanding of ASC 842, Capital Assets, Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Additions, and Fixed Asset Depreciation

• Experience with Lease Accounting, Review Journal Entries, Posting Journal Entries, and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Capitalization, Project Accounting, and Project Finance

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Strong leadership abilities and team management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.
