Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Memphis, Tennessee, 38125, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in a range of tasks such as account reconciliation, tax filing, and month-end close processes. Our firm operates in a dynamic industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle month-end close procedures diligently

• Manage property tax, transportation tax, and other related tax filing duties

• Accurately reconcile accounts on a regular basis

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for complex data management and analysis

• Ensure all personal property tax returns are accurate and timely

• Monitor and report on excise tax

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to address any customer inquiries

• Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required for the Staff Accountant position.

• Candidate must possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

• Practical experience with Personal Property Tax is essential for this role.

• Knowledge and understanding of Property Tax is a must for the applicant.

• Experience in preparing Personal Property Tax Returns is a requirement.

• Demonstrable experience with Property Tax Returns is expected.

• The applicant should have a sound understanding of Excise Tax.

• The candidate should have experience dealing with Tax - Excise related tasks.
