As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist on our team, you'll enhance, promote and maintain high standards in staff professional growth and quality patient care. Alongside a tight-knit team of educators and nursing leaders, you'll serve as a learning facilitator and mentor for new nurses through St. Jude's accredited Nurse Residency Program. In this role, you'll help drive and shape our program, a combination of classroom and simulation laboratory training that emphasizes quality and patient safety for newly graduated, registered nurses as they transition from student to professional.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Master's Degree required
Bachelor's or Master's degree must be in Nursing
Six (6) years of clinical nursing experience required
One (1) year of pediatric experience required
Hematology and Oncology experience preferred.
Current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license, if primary residence is Tennessee, or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
Current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence, if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Certification in Nursing Professional Development from the Association for Nursing Professional Development certification required within 2 years of hire.
