Nike Lead, Supply Chain Security Manager, Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced Asset Protection Manager to join Nike’s Supply Chain Security team to support Nike’s North America Logistics Distribution Center footprint. The Asset Protection Manager will support the offense to protect Nike’s intellectual property, innovations, products, data, and ideas from theft, loss, and leak inside Nike owned distribution centers and warehouses. This position will be the primary liaison between Supply Chain Security, Global Investigations, and key Nike distribution functions.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The core functions of responsibility include, but are not limited to, managing, and driving an inventory loss program, immediate incident response protocols, launch product process, coordination for accurate inbound receiving processes, assessments for key offsite locations, developing and implementing asset protection standards, and supporting strategic projects with Nike’s distribution and transportation functions. Additionally, you will assist in researching and providing recommendations on new technologies or methods that prevent theft, loss or leaks of Nike, Inc. products.

Candidates with previous asset protection experience working directly inside of large distribution centers with high value products will be most successful. The candidate will need to be comfortable formulating and driving actionable recommendations to solve complex problems, frequently connecting with partners across a matrixed organization, to effectively navigate and influence partners.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As part of the Supply Chain Security team, this position will work with Nike Global Investigations, Global Security and Transportation teammates at WHQ. Your key partners include leadership and project teams throughout NA Distribution functions, Transportation, Marketplace Operations, Inventory, Receiving and Operations teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Improve, track and report on key asset protection goals and metrics. (e.g. Shortage, known theft, total Inventory, Launch Units/Containers locations)

  • Proactively analyze leading indicators to create, influence, drive and deliver results on shortage reduction performance within Nike owned, 3PL, and offsite facilities

  • Partner with internal teams to analyze findings from internal and external theft or fraud

  • Engage, coach, train and influence DC coaches and athletes to be an extension of the Supply Chain Security team by equipping them with knowledge to identify leading indicators of risk and educating them on the appropriate escalation path

  • Create/Improve process to track Nike DC product loss and LSP/3PLs security incidents.

  • Create Key Launch process to protect, count, and manage launch product within the Nike DCs and Partner offsite locations.

  • Travel to local distribution centers and 3PL's

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5+ years’ previous experience in supply chain security, asset protection, loss prevention or related field operating in a distribution center environment

  • Advanced knowledge of developing and driving loss/theft detection, reporting, follow-up and trend analysis throughout distribution center networks

  • Advanced knowledge of Distribution Center and warehouse operations (e.g. Manhattan WMS), systems, and loss control throughout the receiving, sorting, storage, select and pack, and shipping phases

  • Demonstrated experience in development and management of asset protection programs, ideally in a warehouse setting.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter

  • Proven track record of communicating plans across a complex corporate matrix on a global, geo and functional basis

  • Comfortable influencing and building consensus between many collaborators and senior leadership.

  • Comfortable providing consistent updates and recommendations to senior leadership

  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to comprehend business needs, synthesize technical and specialized knowledge and translate them into a cohesive strategy
