Robert Half Customer Service Representative I in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative I in Memphis, Tennessee. The role primarily involves interaction with customers to provide essential information regarding our products and services, as well as resolving any complaints or issues that may arise. The job function extends to both inbound and outbound customer service, and requires efficient management of customer accounts and records.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving complaints

• Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, including details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken

• Resolve customer service or billing complaints by performing various activities such as adjusting bills and offering possible solutions

• Contact customers to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments

• Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation

• Use computer applications such as MS Outlook for data entry and customer/client information documentation

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Independently manage your time to ensure all tasks are completed within given deadlines

• Utilize your interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers

• Use your verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members. Requirements • Proficiency in customer service practices and principles

• Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records

• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs

• Knowledge of time management software, such as About Time

• Understanding of billing processes and procedures

• Experience in merchandising and product presentation

• Familiarity with claim administration and making adjustments

• Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members

• Excellent written communication skills for email correspondence and reporting

• Ability to resolve customer complaints swiftly and professionally

• Comfortable with using computer programs to perform job duties.
