Clinician: PT, OT, LPN, RN with valid license is a MUST!

Responsibilities

  • Daily activities consist of individual, family, and group counseling, case management duties,crisis management, completion of required clinical and administrative paperwork, and authorization of services asnecessary.

  • Express written and verbal communications clearly and concisely.

  • Provide outreach services to consumers at their place of residence and other locations as necessary to facilitateeffective treatment and/or follow up.

  • Providing services as defined by service definitions, County Program/Medicaid guidelines and/or State Dept ofBehavioral Health and Developmental Services rules and regulations.

  • Provide consultation which may include expert advice or training to others involved in the treatment or care of theconsumer.

  • Complete any trainings mandated by state regulations or by ResCare.Perform clinical screenings (including establishing diagnosis), assessments, evaluations, interventions and casemanagement services according to individual consumer’s preference and clinical needs.

  • Provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples and families in individual and/or groupsettings

  • Constantly strive to strengthen avenues for information exchange with community agencies, family members,caregivers and consumers by providing timely follow-up to inquiries, requests and concerns.

  • Knowledge and ability to carry out Behavioral Support Plans and Crisis Plans specific to individuals receiving servicesidentified in the individual’s Person-Centered Plan.

  • Must be on-call and accessible during periods of crisis for individuals receiving services. If on-call, must beavailable for face-to-face contact with the individual receiving services within 2 hours of emergency/crisisnotification.

  • Complete documentation in accordance with established guidelines as set forth by Medicaid andother state regulated agencies as required.

  • Provide required documentation of all employee or consumer incident and/or accident reports within 24 hoursfollowing the event or sooner.

  • Investigation and follow-up of client concerns.

  • Monitoring all applicable local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines and advising supervisor of anyout of compliance concerns.

  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed or provisionally licensed in State of employment.

  • Masters degree in social work, counseling or closely related field.

  • One year experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred.

  • Considerable initiative, judgment, creativity, enthusiasm and analytical ability required.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Able to consistently represent the agency in a professional manner.

  • Flexible with work schedule and job duties with the ability to effectively meet changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Adept in problem solving skills and able to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Ability to interact with people of all ages in a supportive manner.

  • Must have a clear understanding of administrative policies and procedures regarding client and programmanagement and structure, and regulatory and licensing standards, with ability to effectively implement them atan agency and program level.

  • Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other required computer programs.

  • Minimum age requirement is 21 years.

  • Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by ResCare and/or state regulations.

  • Express written and verbal communications clearly and concisely.
