Description We are seeking a meticulous and organized Credit Clerk to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will focus on the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This position is vital to ensure proper monitoring and management of customer credit accounts, including the necessary actions to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications in an accurate and timely manner

• Maintain precise records of customer credits

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts effectively

• Take action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Post cash receipts for two bank accounts—one in the US and one in Canada

• Handle approximately 300 invoices per day, with an emphasis on Fridays and Mondays

• Perform accounts payable duties, including a strong 3-way match

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and AS400

• Balance daily tasks of cash receipts posting and accounts payable. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Skills in Invoice Processing are crucial

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Knowledge and experience in using AS400 is needed

• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks is required

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, a degree in accounting or related field is preferred

• Prior experience in an accounting role would be advantageous.
