Insight Global Logistics Technician in Melrose Park, Illinois
Job Description
Our client is expecting a big spike in decommission work in their data centers as they work on data center refreshes. As a result, the logistics team will be inundated with equipment going in and out of their facility. Expected tasks include:
Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision.
Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities).
Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks

Skills and Requirements
1+ year experience warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management
Experience in a warehouse environment
Experience with shipping and receiving pulling orders, loading, unloading, organizing
Loading box trucks, familiar with forklifts, loading trucks
Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
High school diploma
Excellent attitude & extremely reliable & hard working Previous datacenter experience null
