Job Description
Due to ongoing growth, our Buildings & Places team is looking for a Workshare Lead to join its leadership team, based in Melbourne. This role will play a key part in advancing our approach to work-sharing and entails; understanding local resourcing capabilities, driving workshare activities across local and international offices and maintaining and building working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What will a day in this role look like:
Oversee our Buildings & Places resourcing requirements on various projects, driving inter-regional and global workshare practices across our AECOM offices and Enterprise Capability Centres (EC).
Use your technical expertise and extensive knowledge of the design process and project delivery workflow to be able to manage resourcing (locally and internationally) on the various technical aspects of a variety of projects.
Work closely with our Practice Leaders to ensure projects are running on time and on budget, liaising with other AECOM offices to obtain relevant assistance in line with AECOM’s global capabilities, EC and our Technical Practice Groups.
As part of our approach to Think and Act Globally, engage with other AECOM business lines and regions, including globally, to identify opportunities and projects where our team, leveraging its specialist technical skills, can assist to win and deliver.
Liaise with EC on projects, whilst actively participating in business and practice level resourcing meetings reporting back to relevant Leadership Groups.
Play a key role in market sector plans having an active input to project strategies and resourcing on projects, as required.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
Relevant Tertiary Education in Engineering, Cost Management, Architecture, Building Services or a related discipline, ideally with 12+ years of experience working for a consultancy.
Solid understanding of the design process and project delivery workflow, with experience allocating resources for multi-disciplinary projects across Australia.
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to challenge and implement procedures.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our Buildings & Places Teams’ skills and capabilities enabling you to advocate workshare and providing resources into other regions and business lines.
Use your project experience to manage and shift resourcing requirements on projects in response to project changes.
