Abbott Marketing Manager (Primary Care) - Abbott Diabetes Care in Melbourne, Australia

Due to business expansion and growth, we are seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Manager (Primary Care) for our Diabetes Care  division which is responsible for our digitally led sensor-based continuous glucose monitoring technology.

In this critical and exciting new role, your focus is to develop and implement world-class primary care healthcare professional (HCP) end-to-end marketing, partner with our Commercial & Medical Affairs teams on HCP education strategies and commercialise partnerships with key partners.

Your responsibilities include (and not limited to):

  • Partner with ANZ Commercial, Sales, Training to align and implement primary care HCP marketing strategies that align to the Area/Global direction, brand road-maps, customer journeys and business plans

  • In partnership with Medical Affairs, Commercial & Sales, develop and implement best in class HCP continuing education and activation programs and related events/initiatives

  • Devise and drive marketing & commercial sensor technology strategies, plans, and tactics for Primary Care (incl. pharmacies) targeting General Practitioners (GPs), Practice Nurses, Practice Managers, Diabetes Nurse Educators (who work in Primary Care) and other relevant allied health professions

  • Define and drive the digital strategies for medical, websites and HCP websites/apps and work with the CRM marketing manager to drive direct to HCP CRM strategy

Who we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification Marketing / Business / Commerce / Management / Sciences

  • Minimum of 6 years healthcare marketing management with a predominant focus on primary care is essential:

  • Customer journey planning

  • Customer segmentation models

  • Medical device industry experience advantageous

  • Exceptional digital health literacy & digital marketing experience; excellent digital aptitude, confidence in operating digital health tools and digital business tools

  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and embrace continuous learning.

  • Can develop specific, valuable, innovative strategies and concepts that drive HCP recommendation and endorsement, while not losing sight of the commercial ‘big picture’

  • A change agent that is motivated by delivering results

  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with strong ability to influence and negotiate at all levels 

Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
