If you are an undergraduate Engineering student looking to jump start your career, we are offering a 13-month full time or part time internship based at our Melbourne Manufacturing Site. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 27th January 2025. In this role you have the opportunity to improve processes and workstation layout and tooling to improve the efficiency of our manufacturing facility providing power solution products to our automotive, industrial and rail customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support the Manufacturing Engineering activities and operational team in the development of new projects and engineering changes for our manufacturing operation.

  • Be involved in the design, scope & development of manufacturing processes and workflow systems.

  • Perform CAD modelling using Creo to prepare manufacturing & fabrication drawings.

  • Perform detailed time and workstation studies to improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

About You:

To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:

  • Are currently studying a Bachelor degree in Engineering.

  • Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2025

  • Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.

Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.

To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/or be able to perform:

  • Manufacturing skills in tooling, development, technical drawings and familiarity with measuring instruments.

  • Technical strength in statistics and numerical analysis

  • A confident, outgoing approach to seek out necessary information from our branches across South Pacific to achieve set outcomes.

  • Strong computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Valid car driving license highly preferred.

This is a 13-month, full time or part time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.
