The Role

KBR is currently seeking a dynamic Logistics Support Officer (Level 2). This is a pivotal role that requires a specialist individual to complete transactions in MILIS (initially) and ERP (once trained) in support of the sustainment product lines. You will be employed to assist the current inventory team in the management of unit demands, review of unit entitlements, development of procurements and assist in the disposal of assets and inventory.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, based at Defence Plaza, Melbourne.

Responsibilities include:

  • Knowledge and transactional experience with inventory management and Logistics Information Systems, including Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), and/or Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems;

  • Integrated Logistics Support; and

  • Transacting in MILIS performing, but not limited to, the following tasks;

  • Raising and actioning ROB/ROT/ROS

  • Authorising/deleting unit demands

  • Performing Inter District Transfers

  • Identifying items for procurement

  • Identifying items for disposal

  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Commonwealth, Prime Contractor, engineering leads, project managers;

Experience and Qualifications required:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Experience in the logistics handling of Cryptographic equipment and custodianship;

  • Defence and/or CASG materiel logistics experience (Acquisition and/or Sustainment);

  • Understanding and interpreting data analytical inventory related reports such as: Nil Stock on Hand, RRR and Global Stock On Hand;

  • Experience in transacting in AIMS to ensure requirements are met;

  • Experience in reviewing entitlements using Materiel Entitlements Management System (MEMS) or the Equipment Entitlement Variation (EEV);

  • Knowledge of Commonwealth and Defence logistics and procurement policy, including DEFLOGMAN, ESCM, CPRs and DPPM;

  • Experience in cataloguing and codification of Items of Supply (IOS);

  • Experience in governance and asset assurance, stocktaking, and disposals; and

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
