The opportunity:We welcome applications from experienced Commercial Manager's for an emerging Defence project.
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal part in the commercial management of key subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organisational standards. You will oversee all commercial aspects of affiliated contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation while providing specialised support to complex projects. Your role will involve evaluating and managing project commercial risks and interfacing with internal business functions to ensure project success.
This will be a full-time, permanent opportunity based in either Canberra, Adelaide, or Melbourne and will require an active NV1 AGSVA security clearance.

As the ideal candidate, you will bring:• Extensive experience in negotiating and managing subcontracts and purchase orders within the Australian Defence Industry• Ability to address risks, incorporate compensation provisions, and ensure appropriate flow downs from the contract• Strong capability in overseeing all commercial aspects of projects, including finance, insurance, estimating, controls, compliance, and procurement activities• Proven ability to solve complex commercial and procurement-related challenges with specialised knowledge• Experience in evaluating and managing project commercial risks in alignment with internal policies• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders to ensure contract fulfillment and address project challenges
