JOB SUMMARY

As the Assembly Group Leader, you’ll be responsible for cleaning, prepping, assembling and performing miscellaneous shop duties as required. You’ll direct and train assembly personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all direct reports for all assembly personnel.

  • Maintain daily workstation schedules.

  • Monitor employee output to ensure labor standards are met.

  • Review and approve daily time records.

  • Maintain ISO training records for all employees of the group.

  • Support and follow all training provided by the Safety engineer.

  • Ensure all employees comply with all safety policies, protocols and methods.

  • Maintains inventory and requisitions as required approved supplies for the work group.

  • Ensures housekeeping standards are maintained in the work area.

  • Maintains 5S boards and related programs.

  • Provide draft performance reviews for all employees within the group.

  • Provide day to day discipline as required.

  • Disciplinary issues must be dealt with promptly and if necessary documented using a Counseling Record.

  • Interview & provide input during the hiring process.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • HS diploma or GED, required.

  • Minimum 5 – 10 years Assembly Supervisory experience, required.

  • Able to read tape measure and blueprints.

  • Experience with overhead crane, ratchet straps, rubber hammer, stencil, tape measure, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.

  • Experienced providing training to new and/or existing employees.

  • Knowledge of ISO training record keeping, preferred.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS   

    Occasional field travel may be required.
